In an effort to reduce waiting times we are streamlining our appointment system. Please ensure that adequate time is booked for your
appointment.
As a guide, a standard consultation is for ten minutes and allows only enough time to discuss and treat one problem. Long or extended consultations (ranging from 30 to 45 minutes) are necessary if you are presenting with a complex medical history,
or to review multiple test results on a follow-up consult, for women’s health checks, pap smears, work and insurance medicals and
for mental health issues.
All integrative and complimentary medicine appointments will need to be long or extended consults to allow
adequate time for discussion.
If you are unsure what your specific consultation length should be, please check with the receptionist
who can assist you.
We do have some appointments available on the day for urgent consults.
We confirm long and extended appointments
by phone. If we are unable to contact you to confirm, your appointment may be cancelled. Please make sure that the number you provide
is one that you can easily be contacted on.
If more than one family member is to be seen, please book the relevant number of appointments
needed.
For results and other queries, the best time to call is usually later in the morning.
New referrals cannot be written without
a recent consult.
Please allow 24 hours notice to change or cancel an appointment so this time to be allocated to another patient in need. A $50.00 cancellation fee will apply if less than twenty-four hours notice is provided.
